Reports on European EPC market overview

The Report on European EPC markets overview aims at providing a summary of the information collected through the Transparense Surveys of October 2013 across the 20 participating EU countries. Based on the surveys, recommendations for action have been developed for 20 countries and summarised in the European Report on recommendations for action to support EPC markets. The national reports can be downloaded from the national subsites (click on the flags above).

The Surveys, directed at EPC providers as well as banks and finance houses, were designed in order to obtain information for a comprehensive overview of the existing EPC market in the EU. It was a data source for the Transparense EPC databases.

Once the survey responses had been obtained, additional information was gathered by the national authors in order to present a thorough and up-to-date picture of the state of the EPC market in each country. The National reports are summarising the information obtained for each country involved and identifying barriers and success factors for the implementation of EPC projects.

This EU-wide report is not a compilation of everything that was presented in the national reports. Instead, it presents two types of information: summary statistics across all countries (i.e. EU-wide averages), and cross-country comparisons.

For a more thorough view of all the information collected, it may be useful to refer to the Transparense online EPC databases on EPC models, financing models, EPC market and policies or the national country reports to be found on the national subsites.

This report is also building on the data and information gathered by two other similar projects, the European Energy Service Initiative (EESI), the ChangeBest project and 2010 Status Report on Energy Service Companies Market in Europe prepared by JRC.
